The Pass Plus Scheme
 
The Pass Plus scheme is aimed at all new drivers to help them become better drivers.
The Pass Plus course can only be conducted by a Registered Pass Plus Instructor, who also has to be a DSA Approved Driving Instructor. I hold both qualifications.
The Pass Plus course is now well established course, aimed at all new drivers.
The course is administered by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) and is generally accepted by insurance companies as proof that the new driver has increased their experiences and skill levels.
Pass Plus increases your skills and knowledge, improves on your anticipation, planning and hazard awareness levels.
Pass Plus Modules
The Pass Plus Course consists of six different modules

Driving in Town

Driving in all Weathers

Driving on Rural Roads

Driving at Night

Driving on Dual Carriageways

Driving on Motorways
Pass Plus is a practical course (although preparation beforehand would be helpful) and all of the modules should be completed in practice. Although due to weather conditions and time of year some of the modules would need to be completed in a theoretical manner. (in car question and answer session will confirm if this has been acheived)
There is no test at the end of the course. The course completes when the trainee has acheived or exceeded the required standard. If this standard is not achieved, then additional hours would be required.
On completion of the course I will complete a training report that will then be submitted to the DSA, who in turn will issue a certifcate directly to the successful candidate.
It is this certificate that you will use to claim your discount on your insurance.
